Let's take a walk in the snow
You and me
Dance inside the storm
Twirling like flurries
Hair flying upward
Nose bright and red
Mouth screaming in delight
Fall down; become an angel
Stare at giant gray clouds
Is that where snowflakes are born?

Have you ever felt,
Like there's something greater,
That you had once upon a time?
There's something missing.
Sometimes I feel,
Like I don't belong,
In this lifetime,
Sometimes I feel,
Like I loved before,
With such greatness,
It hurt.
Sometimes I feel,
I've left someone behind,
But who?
Who are you?
Are you the one ive waited for my whole life?
Sometimes I try to close that feeling,
Lock it away,
But I cant.
I feel you looking for me,
But where do I begin to look for you?
Have you ever fell inlove with someone that wasn't there?
Were are you..................

A multitasker I am not.
My form of thinking realms in obsessive.

Woah?!?
I am sorry to all the readers for my...what seems to be two month absence from posting anything new on Diane the Dead.
With Finals, School, and life happening I seem to have left the story at a stand still.
But I will say this, a new section will be headed your way before the end of the month, and if everything goes well you may see the whole first chapter of Diane the Dead in a magazine of some sort near you?!?! ( of course that is the wishful hoping for the upcoming new year)
As of now I am working on Silver Promises which is a short story about James Luna , who is one of the main characters in Diane the Dead.
Silver Promise Part 1 will be available to read in two weeks.
Thank you all for reading and I hope to have your continued support!

As I lay in that semi-conscious state,
Which I relate to the partying nights and staying up late,
I hear the salsa drums magnify each melody with their seductive beats
The seat no longer supported me, as I felt the blood rush to my feet
Gliding across the black granite floor, effortlessly
As I had done in my head, many a time, previously.
Each step met with the squash of manly grandeur
As they stare in utter despair at the complexity of my demeanor
Little do they know that this is not for them
No, this was never for them
This was for her.
Seated on that suede chair that emphasized her complexion
As I steal her attention from her trivial conversation
Throwing subtle motions her way,
Only to be greeted by shy smiles that beg further persuasion
And as if it had been choreographed a million times,
I hear her shoes clank to the taps of mine
Her soft fingertips graze mine; coarse, as is my composition,
Her smile at each twirl gives me renewed confidence
The intensity of the dance increases with the beat of the drums,
And our hearts,
This is what they meant when they said, “You will know”
It was beyond words.
As we proceeded towards the climax of our compounded routine
It felt as if I had been provided knowledge that was divine
Untainted, refreshing and celestial,
Right there in front of me, completely at my disposal.
The final verse commanded cheers from the audience
As we moved as one person, in true passionate essence
In that instance, as silence rung out after the last beat had been delivered
As I shivered, not yet ready to be separated,
As her pulse ravaged through my body
She whispered,
“I like my eggs over-easy”.
I smiled.

She glances at him every few seconds. He notices. Fidgets uncomfortably, but pretends to have not noticed.
Her eyes seem to...no, they are following his every move! He can't do a thing without her watching. The urge to run out of the room screaming is rising. Such a tempting though... but no. He stays there at the table, under her hawk-like eye.
Maybe he's just being conceited here. She could be watching something that's around him and it just looks like she's looking at him. Yeah, that's it! He scans the area but begins to feel his hopes being flattened. There was absolutely nothing. Unless you counted the tea-stained wall something interesting.
He drops his fork and bends down to pick it up. He peeks at her. There it is! She's eyeing him while looking the other way, but eyeing him never-the-less! Okay fine. If it's staring she wants, it's staring she'll get.
At 10 minutes after he realizes the woman was watching him, he begins to watch her back.
Only he fails immensely as he makes it quite too obvious and is dreadfully terrible at sneaky staring. She instantly makes eye contact with him and he is too mortified to continue.
Finally, he has to resort to just saying it.
"Is there something on my face?"
She blinks (almost as if she hadn't heard him) and leans back into her seat.
"I should be asking YOU that question." she says in such a nonchalant drawl that he's taken back. He frowns, unsure of what to make of the woman.
"Well, you were staring at me and-"
"No, good sir," she interrupts, rudely at that too. "You were staring at me."
Now he's confused. And somewhat angry at her tone of voice.
"Now, I'm afraid you have it wrong. I was staring at you because you-"
"I was not!"
"...."
The two are left in silence and this time, he decides to go with his earlier idea and swiftly escapes from the room.

It's so wrong for me to look at you
the way I do.
I'm angry that I feel
the way I do.
How can I feel
the way I do?
How can I explain,
why I'm so into you?
the way I do.
I'm angry that I feel
the way I do.
How can I feel
the way I do?
How can I explain,

You are a two sided coin toss
with glimmering cynic on one side
overly opinionated, cruel and mean
vicious, bi polar twin
and on the other side
a face of beauty, a helpful
caring, trustworthy
person. Someone I
want around.
perhaps I dislike you,
only on the grounds that
I see this in myself too.
So toss the coin. Please,
land on civility.

I'm in the
computer lab at my
university's library
I should be
doing homework but I can
barely keep my eyes open and for
what it's worth I'd rather be
writing poetry but that won't
pay the bills no I can't
cash these words and though the
world is sure that
passion should not be pursued:
I need to get a good job, right
need to bring home the bacon
need to procreate and be a
productive person
well speaking for my person
and for
whatever it is worth
I'll be
societies staple starving artist and always
always writing poetry.

On your back there is the world, most of it ocean There are worlds within and without all resting on your shoulders and you groan and shift and slowly the seas roll your arms veined with effort and somewhere in those roiling waves there am I adrift, paddling, swimming desperately Titan efforts beneath the waves, masses of patience and weight, scarring the sun blinding your eyes the blackness without and the life above you, foetal bodies unknowing No one will see the letters and papers telling of how we saw each other once, it happened one day when, during a calm I saw straight through to the bottom and saw you there, one giant sinewy arm and your eyes looking up through strata and magma, fire and iron The seas boiled and the world tilted on its axis when you moved your arm out toward me it created tsunamis, eruptions, chaos, terror, the animals could not understand deaths, millions of them. Only shipwreck remains now, you've not grasped how weight is a duty. Mermaids cry too I suppose and so do giants so here I remain, floating, and perhaps I desire the darkness where you stand, will it help if I tell you I, too, sit on your shoulders? Above your neck I surge with tides until perhaps in the last light maybe, somehow we will burn at last in the fire of our dreams. |

i reach for you
you don't reach back or if you do
your hand stays flat
won't close in mine
i hold your wrist pulse in my palm

won't close in mine
i hold your wrist pulse in my palm

chased by time, chasing it
lost, listing, lost

under the sea
with raging loons
who smoke their typewriters
and drown in ink
oh, lord
i can really smell the times

**FINAL EDIT Thu Dec 10 02:15:47 UTC 2009**
So there is the final update... Over the past day we have processed around 11 million jobs out of the 12 million that were in queue at that time. Please bear in mind that over this past day, more jobs for notifications are also created. So while the queue has been dropping, we are still not fully caught up at this point, due to backlog and new jobs. We have roughly 3 million jobs still pending that involve the notification system in some manner. We had hoped we could have fully cleared the queue in a day, but unfortunately we can't clear it too quickly, since we need the rest of the site to operate normally. From our current perspective on the amount of jobs that are left in queue, and how many it has processed thus far, we believe it will take around another 8 - 12 hours to process everything.
And finally some answers to some questions:
